Blast from the Past! The Chris Moyles Red Nose Rally (BBC Radio 1)

More than eight years ago in March 2005 Star Car Hire lead a fleet of our famous TV & Movie vehicles on a mammoth fund raising journey for Comic Relief that saw us travel the length of the country from John O'Groats to Lands End. Star Car Hire were asked to get involved after celebrity Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles stumbled across the Star Car Hire website (www.starcarhire.co.uk). Moyles and team were fascinated by the array of famous vehicles that included Starsky and Hutch's Gran Torino, The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee, KITT from Knightrider, Back to the Future DeLoreans and The A-Team van but to name a few.

When Will Kinder, producer of the Chris Moyles show, called us up and told us the concept of the rally we were thrilled about getting involved as it sounded like great fun and was in aid of a great cause. As huge fans of the Chris Moyles show it was really quite an honour for Star Car Hire to be asked to be the 'nuts and bolts' of the entire project.

Whilst on the road the Radio1 Breakfast show was broadcasted live from a different location each day with the epic trip finishing up in London on Friday 11th March for Red Nose Night.

The Rally was a lot of fun and a huge success. Star Car Hire helped the radio 1 team raise over £600,000 for Comic Relief so we couldn't have asked for a better result." When is the next one happening Chris?!?! ;-)

Sneak Peak at our New Transformers Camaro (Bumblebee) - Coming Aug 2012!

Well, here he is, Star Car Hire's new addition to our fleet - 'Bumblebee!' This 2010 Chevrolet Camaro RS painted in Rally Yellow is similar to 'Bumblebee' from the recent Transformers movies.
