If you follow British TV drama ‘Emmerdale’ then you may have spotted our tasty 1958 Ford Thunderbird in a couple of recent episodes. The ‘58 T-Bird was hired in as one of Nikhil and Gennie’s wedding cars for their big day. The other car used was a stunning 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air - Good to know that Nikhil and Gennie have great taste in cars!!

Star Car Hire's 58 Chevy Stepside helps Jack Daniel’s build a new Christmas tradition in London

The spirit of Lynchburg, Tennessee will be brought to London this Christmas, as Jack Daniel’s raises a 26ft high Barrel Tree in Covent Garden for the first time. The Barrel Tree, previously only ever built at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, will be raised on the east Piazza, Covent Garden and stay up throughout the Christmas period. With every one of the white oak barrels used to mature the whiskey being shipped directly from Tennessee, this festive gift to the nation is part of a new tradition and will definitely become one of the city’s most recognizable and distinctive public Christmas trees. The Picture (left) features Jack Daniels workers lifting the barrels from our 1958 Chevy Stepside Pickup Truck.

In August 2012 Star Car Hire were asked to supply six American Muscle cars for a music video shoot in central London for MOS films. Check out the video / single below entilted 'High Heels' by artist Jaz Dhami (also Featuring Yo Yo Honey Singh). Featured cars are: 1977 Pontiac Trans Am, 1970 Dodge Charger, 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback (Similar to Eleanor), 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, 1958 Cadillac Series 62 and a 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible.

Star Cars on display this weekend at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre's Festival of Transport

Hempstead Valley's Festival of Transport event, now in its third year, is firmly established as one of Kent's top motoring festivals. Held at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, this year's festival promises to be bigger and better than before and will continue to raise funds for the Kent Air Ambulance and will include a photo opportunity of the Olympic Torch. In keeping with the major celebrations and events occurring in 2012, this year's theme is “Cool Britannia”. To celebrate we have hired in star cars from film and TV to adorn the malls, this includes the original Ford Cortina from the cult TV programme Life on Mars and the original green Mini used in Mr. Bean's hit TV series. There will also be a Union Flag adorned e-type Jag replica of the Austin Powers car plus a tribute ‘flying’ Ford Anglia from the Harry Potter series. As well as providing plenty of motoring excitement for all the family, Hempstead Valley's Festival of Transport event is held in aid of the Kent Air Ambulance Trust (KAAT). An impressive £3,600 has been raised in previous years and Hempstead Valley is aiming to increase this through adding more attractions to the festival and more opportunities for stall holders and visitors to donate. On Sunday 8th July Queensgate Centre is hosting a FREE ?TV & Movie Car Day? for all the family. From 11am to 4pm the Queensgate Centre is celebrating this fantastic year for film with some of the most famous cars from the big and small screen rolling onto the Harlow shopping and leisure destination.
On the day centre visitors will be able to get up close and personal with some fantastic cars on show from the Batmobile and Kitt from Knightrider to Ecto 1 the infamous car from 1980s cult movie Ghostbusters. And if that wasn?t enough Spiderman will also be swinging by to celebrate the launch of The Amazing Spider-Man in 3D. Any customers visiting the Cineworld at Queensgate dressed as Spiderman on the day will receive a free cinema ticket.

This year we will have our A-team Van, Batmobile (Sat & Sun only), Trotter van and K.I.T.T. (Knightrider) on display. As well as a selection of the latest cars on show you'll also be able to explore a range of motor homes, caravans and motorbikes, before testing your racing skills with a spin in the F1 simulator, let the children sit onboard a real fire truck, taking a taster driving lesson with Young Driver (11 - 16 year olds) or timing your laps and competing against your racing rivals on the MiniZ track. There's even a selection of catering pit stops so that you can refuel throughout the day with home-made ice cream, coffee and cakes!

Nicolas Cage (?Bad Lieutenant?, ?Adaptation?) stars as a vengeance-fuelled
father who breaks out of Hell to pursue the killers of his daughter and save her
kidnapped baby in Lionsgate?s DRIVE ANGRY 3D, the new in-your-face shocker from
the team behind ?My Bloody Valentine 3D?, director Patrick
Lussier and fellow writer Todd Farmer.
Oscar-winning star is joined on screen by William Fichtner (?The Dark
Knight?), Amber Heard (?The Rum Diary?), Billy Burke (?Untraceable?), Simona
Williams and Katy Mixon.
Milton (Cage), a hardened felon, has broken out of Hell for one last
chance at redemption. Intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his
daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice her baby beneath
a full moon. He?s joined by Piper (Heard), a young, sexy waitress, who
liberates her boyfriend?s cherry-red muscle car in order to help Milton.
Now the two of them are hot on the trail of the deadly leader of
