THE AUSTIN POWERS SHAGUAR REPLICA - JAGUAR XK8
This stunning Jaguar Xk8 is more British than afternoon tea and cucumber sandwiches. With it's brightly coloured Union Jack paint job there is no mistaking this car as a replica of the infamous 'Shaguar' used in the third Austin Powers Movie 'Goldmember'.
The Austin Powers films, starting with International Man of Mystery in 1997, were comedy spoofs of classic spy thrillers. A Jaguar E-type had been used in the second film 'The Spy Who Shagged Me' in 1999 where inevitably it became known as the 'Shaguar'. When the third Austin Powers film 'Goldmember' was made in 2002, the link with Jaguar was continued with an XK 8 convertible being used. Whatever your views of the Austin Powers character, at least he had excellent taste in cars!
The car on display below was used by Jaguar as a press car, and while it was originally blue, it was later re-painted in the Union Jack colour scheme as a replica of the car used in the Austin Powers film
