If any of you recently passed a fleet, of what looked like, famous vehicles travelling in convoy (or on the back of an AJ Exhibitions transporter) between the 3rd and 11th March 2005 then I can tell you right now, you WERE NOT imagining things!!

Radio 1 Breakfast show host Chris Moyles and Co. recently teamed up with Star Car Hire (www.starcarhire.co.uk) on a rather interesting crusade to raise money for Comic Relief.

On Friday 4th March Star Car Hire lead a fleet of our famous TV & Movie vehicles on a mammoth fund raising journey that saw us travel the length of the country from John O'Groats to Lands End. Star Car Hire were asked to get involved after celebrity DJ Chris Moyles stumbled across the Star Car Hire website (www.starcarhire.co.uk) at the end of last year. Moyles and team were fascinated by the array of famous vehicles that include Starsky and Hutch's Gran Torino, The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee, KITT from Knightrider, Back to the Future DeLoreans and The A-Team van but to name a few.

Owner Mike Barr said "When Will Kinder, producer of the Chris Moyles show, called me up just before Xmas and told me the concept of the rally I was more than happy to get involved as it sounded like great fun and was in aid of a great cause. I'm a huge fan of the Chris Moyles show so it was really quite an honour for Star Car Hire to be asked to be the 'nuts and bolts' of the entire project. I set up Starcarhire.co.uk in March 2004 so I really couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate our first official anniversary than this!"

Whilst on the road the Radio1 Breakfast show was broadcasted live from a different location each day with the epic trip finishing up in London on Friday 11th March for Red Nose Night.
