'FACE' MAKES A GRAND 'STAR CAR' ENTRANCE ON CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER!!
As most of you will already know, our good friend Dirk Benedict made an epic appearance down at London's Elstree Studios on Wednesday night.
Dirk aka "Face" from the A-Team made a huge entrance to this years Celebrity Big Brother house in Star Car Hire's very own A-Team Van replica. Keeping the best to last, Dirk was the final celeb to enter Channel 4's infamous reality program after arriving to a standing ovation in our A-Team Van and greeting Davina.
All of us at Star Car Hire are huge A-Team fans so we are supporting Dirk to win!

 Midland American Auto Club annual All American car, truck and bike show - 3rd and 4th of September 2005
Its that time of the year again when preparations are underway for the Midland American Auto Club annual All American car, truck and bike show. This year the show is on the 3rd and 4th of September and will be in the usual show field in Kilbeggan Co. Westmeath.
Last year was a bit damp but it didn't seem to put the diehards off as they came in droves from all over the country and the UK. This year has been better and its hoped it continues.
There are many interesting vehicles travelling this year judging by the sightings at various shows all over the country during the summer. Amongst those confirmed are the Starsky & Hutch Gran Torino and the Dukes of Hazard General Lee 1969 Dodge Charger thanks to Mike Barr of Star Car Hire in Northern Ireland. As an added interest this year Classic American magazine will be picking a car of the year heat winner at the show.
The show will kick off with a cruise on the Saturday followed by a BBQ and some music later with the main show on Sunday.
Exhibitors are free entry. Gate prices for the public will be €10 for adults, kids free, parking free.

Ok, so it's been a long time coming but we have finally got there and pulled our new website together. There may be some teething problems to begin with so if you notice any flaws or broken links please notify us.
We have added a new news section, wedding gallery, action vehicles section, racing cars

Press Release: The Red Nose Rally
If any of you recently passed a fleet, of what looked like, famous vehicles travelling in convoy (or on the back of an AJ Exhibitions transporter) between the 3rd and 11th March 2005 then I can tell you right now, you WERE NOT imagining things!!
Radio 1 Breakfast show host Chris Moyles and Co. recently teamed up with Star Car Hire (www.starcarhire.co.uk) on a rather interesting crusade to raise money for Comic Relief.
On Friday 4th March Star Car Hire lead a fleet of our famous TV & Movie vehicles on a mammoth fund raising journey that saw us travel the length of the country from John O'Groats to Lands End. Star Car Hire were asked to get involved after celebrity DJ Chris Moyles stumbled across the Star Car Hire website (www.starcarhire.co.uk) at the end of last year. Moyles and team were fascinated by the array of famous vehicles that include Starsky and Hutch's Gran Torino, The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee, KITT from Knightrider, Back to the Future DeLoreans and The A-Team van but to name a few.
Owner Mike Barr said "When Will Kinder, producer of the Chris Moyles show, called me up just before Xmas and told me the concept of the rally I was more than happy to get involved as it sounded like great fun and was in aid of a great cause. I'm a huge fan of the Chris Moyles show so it was really quite an honour for Star Car Hire to be asked to be the 'nuts and bolts' of the entire project. I set up Starcarhire.co.uk in March 2004 so I really couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate our first official anniversary than this!"
Whilst on the road the Radio1 Breakfast show was broadcasted live from a different location each day with the epic trip finishing up in London on Friday 11th March for Red Nose Night.
Mike said:
"The Rally was a lot of fun and a huge success. We helped raise over £600,000 for Comic Relief so we couldn't have asked for a better result."
Mike and Calum would like to personally thank Dave Smith from Classic American Magazine, Paul Oakely from the RAC and Pete Stafford from US Automotive for their kind assistance with the Starsky and Hutch Torino which broke an inlet valve spring towards the end of the rally. Star Cars Display at East Kilbride Shopping Centre.
In April 2005 East Kilbride Shopping Centre in Scotland organised a movie motors event giving car fans throughout Scotland the chance to see replicas of some of the most famous Star Cars that have flown, talked, time-travelled and spectacularly crashed their way through our screens over the last forty years.
A host of replicas including KITT, the Back to the Future DeLorean, Herbie the Love Bug Beetle and a stunning version of James Bond's Aston Martin V8 Vantage were on display at EK to greet movie fans from Saturday 2nd to Sunday 17th April.

The Star Car Hire team had boyhood dreams come true recently when we got to meet 'Catherine Bach' aka the 'REAL' Daisy Duke from the original Dukes of Hazzard TV series. Catherine was a special guest at the Collector Mania Show in Milton Keynes and was delighted when she found the Star Car Hire stand featuring her favourite car - The General Lee!
